My research and teaching interests include British literature and culture in the long 18th-century, book history/media studies/print culture, genre studies (especially prose fiction), the relationship between literature and law, interactions between verbal and visual cultures (word and image), postcolonial fiction, and the history of English as a discipline.
As for DH training, I have attended the Center for Electronic Texts in the Humanities (CETH) at Princeton and University of Virginia's Rare Book School. My DH interests include the theoretical aspects of digital culture (including its relationship to print), equity in the accessibility of resources, and transformations in searching, researching, and knowledge-making.
With Anna Battigelli, I co-author of Early Modern Online Bibliography (EMOB) blog, and I have also served as a reviewer for NEH Digital Start-up grant proposals.
