I chair the Department of English at Cabrini College--a thankless job that has me longing for better days, days when I'd hang out (nights really) in my parent's garage playing Galaxian (not Galaga) on a used console. My first computer was a Texas Instrument TI-99/4A and, frustrated by its inherent limitations, I turned my back on technology for almost two decades. A Clamshell G3 (given to me by my present employer and still working) restored my faith and has convinced me that Digital Humanities is something I might play with in my own garage now that I have one.
