Oh dear.... I'm a sociologist who increasingly uses technology in my classrooms...as a means to an end rather than tech for itself. My specialize in comparative immigration in France and the US. My undergrad degree was in ancient Greek and Roman history and I've never walked away from understanding the importance of history (aka situational & contextual). Sadly, I don't know what Galaga is and I read Zizek a very long time ago...I'm a strong believer in open access and collaborative learning/writing and creation. Finally, I'm one of those old fashioned liberal arts people who believe that reading tons of fiction and poetry can only be good for you.
