I received my Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011, where I am currently employed as a teaching fellow. Previously, I held an Ahmanson-Getty Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCLA's Clark Library. My research focuses on emergent discourses of race in early modern English and Spanish literary and historical texts, and has been published or is forthcoming in Comparative Drama and Huntington Library Quarterly. I am the co-editor (with Barbara Fuchs) of Representing Imperial Rivalry in the Early Modern Mediterranean (forthcoming in fall 2014 from U Toronto Press)
